inspiration comes with passion
i cant believe i'm back to using this ridicks-sounding title again. haa. i might jolly well revert back to my cheesy "inspiration comes with passion" MSN nick. HAA. but seriously, aft tonight's O School dance recital, i'm once again reminded of my used-to-be motto.
haha and it really helped that i used to live by that, actually. i constantly reminded myself why i had to juggle theatre, dance and drums tgd in JC and feel like shit being slower in learning the steps, forgetting my lines and not being able to fill fast enough.. but because i kept reminding myself that i had a passion for each of those, plus God's immense grace, i managed to pull thru and enjoy the process. haa. it's amazing i didnt have to quit drums all the way till now.
but seriously, the O school dance recital was crazy power madness.. it was soo good to the point it was intimidating. like, unattainable kinda good. and meli and hosea were in them. we were soo proud!! =D
i had my commentator gaius sitting next to me telling me which o school teacher was who and who was good at what and who choreographed what and which genre was what ETC.. haa.. which was really interesting and knowledgeable to listen to. and the amazing-est thing was, many of the O sch instructors were really young!!! and they were crazily good. i mean, MAD. haa.....
GIN is the BOMB i tell you. i've heard sooo much about her from everybody.. like annabel, meli, hosea, gaius, blahh.. and i was really excited to see her dance. and I TELL YOU, WHEN SHE DANCED, EVERYONE ELSE AROUND HER [as unattainably good as they are] SEEMED TO BE PATTERNS AROUND HER. she just shone and owned the stage. it was crazy. gaius was like, "look at ben! look at anan! look at xuehui!" but my eyes kept finding themselves to gin. and i said, "too many people to look at! my eyes cant take it!!!!!!!!!" so i just kept staring at gin. (*.*)
she has the same effect as Jinglin in vj dance. like, when she dances, everyone just becomes patterns. like her backup dancers. but of course, gin is.... .... ...... u get my drift. she's just so cute..
oh and my House girl! haa.. she kept grabbing my attention just cos she looked so pleasantly relaxed and groovy. (: and very light footed and professional. well, i guess if ure in o sch, YOU HAVE TO FLIPPING BE.....
OHH and after the break, there was this segment where they called the audience members to come up and dance. so there were 2 girls and 2 guys. and one of the guys was none other than our very own RAYVIN!!!! =D heehe.. and one of the girls had the NICEST COOLEST name ever. MEREDITH!! haa. not me la. but this girl called meredith. haa. if only i could dance as well as her man. her top was slipping off her shoulders, revealing the sexiest shoulders ive ever seen. and it wasnt slutty or what. it was just plain cool. and when she raised her hands her stomach got revealed a bit and MAN I TELL YOU, ABS!!!!!!!!!! *faints* haa.
she and the other girl were HOT, DAMN GOOD, HOT, REALLY GOOD, HOT, sporting, HOT.. and u get my drift. they were so good to the point that it felt like THEY were the performers for the night! i'll see if i can put u a video of the DANCE-OFF that they had. haa. and of course rayvin didnt let us down! he strutted his stuff, but only 30% of it. haa.
DARN. i cant upload it here. nvm, when my internet's better i shall upload it on youtube.
anw nelson, sean, grace and i went to eat fei fei wanton mee. haa. and the drinks lady's attitude was lousy to the max. i seldom feel put off by such ppl [proves how much faith i have in the service in singapore...] but that lady just put me off. i ordered ice lemon tea thinking it was the homemade kind, but it came in a can, so i asked her if i could change it to iced tea [the home made kind] instead, and she stared at me and asked, "you think can or not lei?"
WAHLAU. grace and my face just went black and i answered, "i think can." WAHLAU. sean n nelson were like, whoa. and after forever she came back with my changed order and collected the money. and as i brought the cup nearer i said, "Thank you very much. It must have been hard on you." with dripping sarcasm seething through the gaps of my teeth. and when she left, nelson said, "one shouldnt offend meredith." then i was like, eh, u make me sound evil. it's just the lady..... GAH.
and i was driving instructor for a day. night, rather. i let sean drive my car around his house car park. it was..... an experience. half the time i was grabbing whatever i could grab, holding on to dear life. if only i had one of thosem footbrakes at the passenger's seat like those driving centre cars do. haa but it was cute seeing sean sooooo excited over driving. haa. i've not seen such excitement in a long time. haa. well i guess if it's one thing im confident in it's driving. haaha.. oh wow. tho ive prob scared more people with my driving than not. haa.
ha i realised that that typical JE kinda dance is called locking. i nv knew! until very recently. and saw a lot of it today at the recital. haa. i feel like learning locking!! haa.. and because of this revelation, ive been rewatching ancient JE vids. like Arashi's Sunrise Nippon pv [where i saw locking for the very first time when i was in sec3], A.Ra.Shi pv, Lucky Man pv, Yamapi's Love XXX, Can do Can go by the juniors in 1998. haha..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDzyKkJ2kHw soo cute, when jun, aiba, nino and the others were young. haa. i wish they would dance like that again! (:
i used to think it was just a lame je kinda dance. and lo and behold, it has a name--- locking. hahaa..i think the japanese are awesome at locking. they somehow, dont look lame doing it. haha..
GAH my internet's on and off and on and off!!!!
